Unit OA Representatives and OA Advisors Needed
A unit OA Representative (youth) and OA Advisor (adult) are leadership positions and are valuable resources to your unit. Going forward, Tukarica Lodge 266 wants to better utilize our network of OA reps and advisors who can keep units apprised of OA elections and events, and serve as a resource to leaders and members of the unit.
If your unit does not have an OA Representative and OA Advisor, we encourage you to appoint them. There are position patches your OA Rep and Advisor can wear on their uniforms and they should wear their OA sash to meetings so members know they are a resource to them. They will regularly need time during unit PLCs, Committee Meetings, and meeting announcements to present OA information. They are welcome to attend our monthly Tukarica Lodge Executive Council (LEC) meetings, and we can invite them to our Discord server.
Unit Leaders: Please email the name and email contact to Janet Johnson, Lodge Communications Advisor, at oa-tukarica@chimeraco.net

The Order of the Arrow is Boy Scout's National Honor Society, with a membership of more than 176,000 scouts and scouters. The OA is run by elected youth leaders assisted by adult advisers. Its purpose is to recognize those youth and adult campers who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives; to develop and maintain camping traditions and spirit; to promote Scout camping; and to crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others.
Tukarica Lodge 266 is chartered through the Mountain West Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and is headquartered in Boise, Idaho. The totem of the Lodge is the cougar and the name tukarica comes from the Shoshoni, literally meaning sheep-eater (cougar).
