Tapapwingo District Committee meets the 1st Thursday of every month (August-May).
Any registered unit leader is welcome to attend, share concerns or ideas.

District committee is responsible for overseeing and supporting Scouting activities within a specific geographic district, primarily focusing on growing membership, developing programs, providing training for adult volunteers, and ensuring all units within the district are functioning effectively and delivering a quality Scouting experience to youth members; essentially acting as a bridge between the council and individual Scouting units within the district.
Key functions of a BSA district committee include:

Membership development:
Recruiting new units and members by working with community organizations to establish new Scouting units, and supporting existing units in retaining members.

Program support:
Assisting units in planning and executing quality Scouting activities like camps, special events, and community service projects.

Leader training:
Providing training and support to adult volunteers within the district to enhance their leadership skills.

Youth advancement:
Promoting youth advancement through recognition programs and ensuring Scouts are progressing through the Scouting program.

Communication and coordination:
Facilitating communication between the council, district units, and community leaders.

Quality assurance:
Monitoring the quality of Scouting programs within the district and identifying areas for improvement.
